Mortgage rates are more than a full percentage point lower than they were last year and that shift is quietly changing the real estate landscape.

On a 1.2 million dollar mortgage that difference can mean nearly one thousand dollars per month in savings and well over three hundred thousand dollars over the life of a 30 year loan. That is not a headline soundbite. That is real buying power.
