🔥KINDLE LEAK: Color Display Incoming?
Amazon may be getting ready to drop a new Kindle on 09/30 ; possibly a "Basic" model with a color e-ink display. There are fresh pictures floating around, and the leaks line up in interesting ways.
Here’s what we know so far:
► The device is being referred to (in leaks) as the Kindle “Petit Color”, and it looks like it might aim to be more budget-friendly than the Colorsoft.
► The color display is said to offer more saturated colours than the current Colorsoft model.
► Design-wise, it might have thicker recessed bezels, which suggests Amazon could be cutting some “nice-to-have” design polish to keep costs down.
► Also: software leaks hint at some cool features, like the ability to adjust icon colours (battery, WiFi, etc.), maybe even the ability for the text colour of a book to change as you read...who knows.
No confirmation yet on battery life, backlight improvements, or exact screen specs. And of course, leaks are always to be taken with a grain of salt.

reMarkable has just finished their news coverage and wanted to share my quick thoughts. This is the smaller, portable version of the reMarkable Paper Pro, designed for note-taking and work on the go.

⭐️ Here’s a quick overview of the tech specs:
- 🖥 Display: 7.3” E-Ink Gallery™ 3, 20,000 colors, 1696 x 954 (264 PPI), Palm rejection & adjustable reading light,
- 💡Writing: 12 ms latency, 920 µm pen-to-ink distance
- ⚡ Processor: 1.7 GHz Dual Core Cortex-A55
- 💾 Storage & RAM: 2 GB LPDDR4x RAM, 64 GB storage
- 🔋 Battery: 2,334 mAh, USB-C charging, Auto wake/sleep with folio sensor
- 🌐 Connectivity: Wi-Fi, USB-C port, No BT feature as some claims were saying
⭐️ Couple of my insights:
► Move has higher pixel density on a smaller display (264 PPI vs 229 PPI on RPP) → sharper text/ink for its size. The main trade-off is smaller screen real estate for multitasking or viewing large documents.
► Despite the smaller battery (2,334 mAh vs 5,030 mAh on RPP), the Move still lasts ~2 weeks thanks to a smaller, more efficient display. Faster charging is a plus for mobile users.
► Still a big question on how it's going to scale the content (PDFs) in 16:9 aspect ratio vs 4:3 on RPP
