Ah the shenanigans of live streaming. This is what I look like when I’m wearing my mocap suit doing vtubing/ codemiko! I usually come on as this mocap suited gremlin after I do my vtubing~ we have fun here it’s definitely a good time

Here are some thoughts that’s been floating in my brain:

I’ve been seeing some really really really concerning statistics amongst Gen Alpha. They are…. Unfortunately dumbest mofo generations we’ve seen so far… (excuse my harsh language, they don’t quite deserve being called that) they had to go through covid, unfortunate iPad pandemic, short form content ruining their attention span, coco melon, and also AI ruining their critical thinking skills. There’s reports from teachers saying that kids just yell 6/7 but can’t write… 6…7…..

Oh boy….

Thank you everyone for joining in on the discussion! it is absolutely a weird time we are living in with technology. As you know I LOVE tech and innovation but I do fear that a lot of it is also being used in unprecedented ways that reduce privacy, more surveillance, and also reducing individual’s control over their lives. It’s kind of scary. Like we’ve grown so used to it and through learned helplessness we feel kind of powerless.

My first video that’s coming up was actually unplanned and I decided to blabber about the concerns of UK government mandated mass surveillance required from tech companies. They have announced that they are banning social media for kids under 16.

Now this is a topic that has been kind of a growing concern. The tech world is aiding in mass surveillance of everyone and we do seem to be heading toward a very dystopian future where privacy is a thing of the past.

This video is super scuffed and wasn’t planned but it allowed me to come out of my shell a bit and dip my toes into making videos that isn’t stream, codemiko, or new mocap inventions (though ofcourse I’ll still be doing those)

Btw sorry for calling you guys gooners in the video, I call my twitch chat gooners and 🤭 not sure how my YouTubies will take to that. Just know I think of all yall as sophisticated gentlemen and women but I do have a bit of a potty mouth. I do have a bit of an accent that makes it kind of hard to understand when I’m not screaming. I just realized that’s probably why I’m so loud…. It helps me enunciate lmao.

Hey yall I’ve been getting a lot of questions about the two channels!

I’m not abruptly transitioning I am slowly transitioning to not kill codemiko’s YouTube algorithm since so many of my subscribers there watch me for me.

My plans are to start with long form first. Codemiko channel will have long form only showing CodeMiko and this channel will have only long form videos of my flesh self (lol). My shorts on CodeMiko will be a mixture of irl me and also CodeMiko for the time being. My shorts here will just be IRL me.

shorts and long form have completely different algorithms so I’m hoping this would work for the transition!

The first long form videos here are me blabbing about the tech world. I’ll be posting shorts as well! I realized I had so many opinions and things that I wanted to talk about and get off my chest and I think this YouTube channel is a perfect way to do that.

I will do crafty tech stuff and tech projects as well! (Those do take longer!)

As for people wondering how I juggle all of this. So I actually create a lot of content between both codemiko and my IRL self but I just have to solve the roadblock of getting it out there 😬 (I feel like a lot of my content does well live streaming but for YouTube I always end up feeling like it’s not good for it but don’t worry this is the exact issue I’m currently solving!)
