💔 This morning was very hard to face the fact that I will never see my Dad again. Mornings like these I would wake up to my dad making my favourite breakfasts, sometimes Ackee and fried dumplings with chocolate tea or if we didn’t have that it would be scrambled eggs with hotdogs and bread.

It’s so hard for me to talk about my dad since he’s been gone because he was so unconditionally good to me. I just keep trying to make him proud, that’s how I deal with the pain. The hardest days are when I walk into a grocery store and they play songs we used to listen to in the car, I literally have to run out or I won’t stop crying.

I miss my dad so much guys, he would take me to work with him so much that his work place literally made a “take your daughter to work day” they also made him make his work schedule around me because they knew I was his first priority.

I know my content isn’t the greatest sometimes but that’s because I don’t have much. I’ve been going through a lot for years! My dad could not communicate verbally that much since 2020, and that hurt me deep. He used to tell me stories over and over and couldn’t anymore, but I would do anything just to hear another one even just one more time.

I know my dad is in heaven with my brother looking down on me and my family and talking to God daily, I feel it. I just know I have the best angel a girl could ever ask for.

If you’re reading this and you’ve lost someone special, don’t give up ok. I know it’s hard, I know. I know you feel so empty at times but I really want you to keep pushing for them.
