We are sharing this old news clipping now because, at the time, our focus was on people first, not publicity.

During the flood and electricity crisis, our priority was to reach as many affected areas as possible, support families in need, and coordinate assistance through calls, local contacts, and available channels. We may not have been able to cover every place, but we worked with sincerity and did our best to help wherever possible.

We never wanted to turn relief work into media promotion. For us, people and their safety always came before our image.

Those who know our work know this truth. We also accept that we can learn from past decisions, and we are sharing this now only because questions and criticism have arisen about our role.

Today, we successfully conducted the "Dalpitiya Shramadhana" initiative in Dalpitiya, focusing on cleaning the area and enhancing community spirit. This effort was supported by NPP members, my office team (Fasmin Sharif Team), and other dedicated individuals.

අද දින "දැල්පිටිය ශ්‍රමදාන" වැඩසටහන දැල්පිටිය ප්‍රදේශයේ පිරිසිදු කටයුතු හා ප්‍රජාවගේ සන්සුන්කම වර්ධනය කිරීම පිළිබඳ අවධානය යොමු කරමින් සාර්ථකව ක්‍රියාත්මක කළාය. මෙය NPP සාමාජිකයින්ගේ සහ, මගේ කාර්යාල කණ්ඩායම (Fasmin Sharif Team) සහ අනෙකුත් කැපවූ පුද්ගලයින්ගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් සමන්විත විය.

Today, we successfully conducted the "Mahajana Dina" in Doluwa and Udupaltha, fostering an open dialogue with the people of the area. This meeting was graced by the presence of MP Thanura Dissanayake and other esteemed representatives.

අද දින දොළුව සහ උඩපළාත ප්‍රදේශවල ජනතාව සමඟ "මහජන දිනය" සංවාදයක් සාර්ථකව පැවැත්විණි. මෙම හමුව සඳහා මන්ත්‍රී තුමාතු තනුර දිසානායක සහ තවත් ගරු සාමාජිකයින්ගේ සහභාගිත්වය ලැබුණි.
