“The Life of Psalm”에 대한 묵상:
‘The Life of Psalm’이라는 표현은 시편(Psalm)처럼 살아가는 삶,
곧 예배와 기도의 삶이 하나님 아버지의 뜻을 반영하는 삶을 의미한다.
이는 하나님과의 깊은 교제를 상징하는 서정적이고 묵상적 예배표현이기도하다.
예배는 단지 찬양이나 기도에 머무는 것이 아니고,
편안하고 안전한곳에서 드려지는것도 아닌,
나의 삶에 불편하고 허술하고, 불완전한 삶 한가운데에서 드려지는것이다.
그 핵심은 오직 ‘하나님의 뜻‘을 따르고, 그분의 말씀을 삶으로
살아내는 데까지 나아가야하는것이 The Life of Psalm의 핵심이다.
주님의 뜻을 품고 살아가는 삶 속에서 겪는 수많은 일들과 과정들은
결국 ‘하나님의 뜻’을 이루어가기 위한 영적 거름(Spiritual Waste)이 된다.
나는 지금, 내 삶의 중심에서 과연 어떤 예배를 드리고 있는가?
그리고 주님께서 원하시는 예배는 과연 무엇인가?
우리는 삶에 중심에서 어떤 예배를 드리고 있는지 다시 확인해보고
그리스도를 믿는 우리는 반드시 주님이 원하시고 요구하시는 ‘삶의 예배‘를 드려야한다.
“그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권하노니,
너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제물로 드리라.
이는 너희가 드릴 영적 예배니라.” (롬12:1)

The Word of the Day / THE IMPORTANCE OF SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is –his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Roman 12:2). Last time, I wrote about “DOPAMIN” that produces “PLEASURES and HAPPINESS” hormones. People want to be happy all the time, and avoid suffering and perseverance. But at the core of spiritual discipline, we have to learn how to strengthen our spiritual body through painful processes. What is the reason that we want to goto gym? Why do we even pay money to grow pains on our muscles? Because we want to maintain a healthy body and strengthen our muscles to protect our body cells. I believe this is the same concept that we can apply into our spiritual discipline.
The Apostle Paul clearly stated, “Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” In order to live a spirit-filled lifestyle, we have to be disciplined, grow maturely, we have to quit the worldly patterns and be transformed by the renewing of our mind through God’s word. “All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2TIM3:16).
The Goal and purpose of Spiritual Discipline: SALVATION & SERVE OTHERS
What is the goal of spiritual discipline? The goal is to have a healthy relationship with God in real life so we can fully obey and show His will. Another important reason is to serve others to show Christ love. “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5:14-17)

As we are starting a new year, God gave me a heart to create Bible Scriptural inspirational meditations.
The Purpose & Meaning of Night Time Prayer can serve as a way to reflect on the day that has passed, express gratitude for blessings received, and seek guidance and strength for the day ahead. This practice can also promote a sense of peace and calm, helping to quiet the mind and prepare the body for rest.
