Finding Gina Marie – Travel the World
they/them

We’re Judy and Kevin, full-time travelers who left our corporate jobs and got rid of everything. We set out in 2022 with only carry-ons, a suitcase and a decision that the next chapter could look completely different.

We share not just where we go, but how travel changes us—the surprises, challenges and deeper purpose we’re discovering. If you’re wondering whether this kind of life is actually possible—financially, practically, physically, you're in the right place.

What you'll find here:
👉 Destination videos with a point of view, not just a highlight reel
💰 Transparent cost breakdowns in every destination
🏛️ Local stories and history that brings places to life
👋 What it means to feel at home anywhere—even without a home base

Why Finding Gina Marie?
In 2021, at 55, Judy reunited with her birth family. The name her Italian birth mother gave her—Gina Marie—and that reunion sparked both this channel and this new way of life.

Wander more. Worry less. Bring a passport. ❤️

Finding Gina Marie – Travel the World

NEW EPISODE THIS WEEKEND: We're jumping ahead to bring you this special episode from Budapest, Hungary. We spent 17 days here looking for things most visitors never find. Tiny bronze sculptures. A protest memorial that keeps coming back no matter how many times it's removed. A café that communism tried to shut down and couldn't keep closed. And on one particular night, history happening outside our front door. Budapest hides things. This weekend we show you what we found.

Finding Gina Marie – Travel the World

NEW EPISODE THIS WEEKEND: We arrived in Bangkok just after midnight from the Mekong, disoriented and wondering what kind of city we'd landed in. This part of town did not feel like us. But we found one of the coolest neighborhoods we've ever been in—think steampunk Bangkok—and discovered sides of Bangkok we didn't expect. We learned some lessons that we'll be sharing along with our complete cost breakdown for 16 days here. See you this weekend. ❤️ Judy & Kevin

Happy Easter (if you celebrate)! 🐣 Our video from Laos was just released, and we'd love it 🥰 if you could give it a watch. ➡️ YouTube's algorithm spreads our videos when it sees that our subscribers watch shortly after it first comes out. Here are some photos from the lovely city of Luang Prabang, Laos as a thank you! ❤️ —Judy & Kevin

Finding Gina Marie – Travel the World

NEW EPISODE ON SUNDAY: We just wrapped up 19 days in the U.S. for our annual visit to see family across four cities. This trip carried a little more weight than usual. So we're especially grateful for the time, grateful for our family and friends, and grateful for the viewers we got to meet in person while we were there.

Our Laos video will be coming out this Sunday instead of our usual Saturday. We appreciate your patience with the slight delay. In all our time as full-time travelers, this is one place we'd return to before even seeing more of the country. It pulled at our hearts from the moment we arrived. That video is worth the extra day of waiting. We think you'll feel that too. See you Sunday. ❤️ — Judy & Kevin

Finding Gina Marie – Travel the World

We’re going to miss you this week. ❤️We’re back in the U.S. spending time with family, and we’ve decided to hold this week’s video a little longer so we can make it as strong as it should be. We never want to put something out unless it truly feels right, and we think you deserve that.

We’ll be back next week with our episode from Queenstown, New Zealand.

SHOULD WE TRY A FLIGHT OF DURIAN?
Do you know about durian, what Southeast Asia calls the “King of Fruits”? It’s famous for its powerful, pungent aroma, so much so that it’s often banned from transit systems, hotels, buses, taxis, and even some malls. Despite the smell, it’s considered a nutritional powerhouse.

We tasted durian ice cream back in Cambodia in 2023, but we had no idea there are 27 (!) different varieties of durian.

Here in George Town, Penang, it’s absolutely everywhere. It's practically the durian capital here.

We’re considering trying a durian flight so we can compare a few different varieties. We’d definitely be taking one for the team on this one 😅

Would you try it? Let us know in the comments!

Finding Gina Marie – Travel the World

We have no problem admitting when we are wrong. Last week didn't go the way we expected. At all. Midweek things were clicking along like nobody's business and then several things hit the fan. Internet issues. A power outage. An excursion that we suddenly couldn't work around. And more. We won't have a video out this week, but it made us take ANOTHER hard look at our pace for 2026 and we are trimming our schedule so that we have more breathing room. It's really important for us to be part of your week each and every week. We're learning that when we're somewhere for too short of a time, that's harder to do! All our editing is done on the road—we have no home base where we're batching videos—so when there are glitches, we feel them.

We were offline for 2.5 days for a Shompoo Cruise on the Mekong River from Luang Prabang to the border of Thailand in Huay Xai. Here are some photos from our amazing time there!
