Anne Boleyn was put on trial at the Tower of London.
She was accused of treason, adultery, and incest (including an accusation involving her brother, George Boleyn). Most historians think the charges were politically motivated and very likely false.
The trial was held before a jury of nobles, presided over by her uncle, Thomas Howard. She defended herself strongly, but was found guilty and sentenced to death.
Just four days later, on May 19, 1536, she was executed at the Tower by a specially brought swordsman from Calais.

Anne Boleyn’s execution attire ~ 19 May 1536
Witnesses described Anne wearing a dark grey damask gown over a rich crimson petticoat, covered by a fur-trimmed mantle. She also wore an English gable hood, a traditional headdress that framed her face and reflected her English identity in her final moments.
Even at the scaffold, Anne maintained the dignity and composure that defined her life, leaving behind one of the most haunting and enduring images in Tudor history.

Princess Mary was born at Greenwich Palace to King Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon.
She was the couple’s only surviving child, after several previous pregnancies had ended in miscarriage or infant death. Her birth was significant for the Tudor dynasty, which desperately needed an heir to secure stability after the Wars of the Roses.
Although Henry VIII had hoped for a son, Mary’s survival was celebrated at court. She would later become Queen Mary I of England (1553–1558), the first woman to rule England in her own right.
Happy birthday 💕
