The Real Slightly Technical

It's just me tinkering with audio circuits, usually completely out of my mind, aces high on coffee from my shroomcup.

Technical Maniacs!
I've been absent for a while, but I'm coming back with a bunch of new interesting things.
Here's a nice article on tube amp biasing available on the Slightly Technical Academy. Hopefully it will help you understand amp biasing a bit better and do it yourself correctly and safely!
Hope y'all are doing well!
Best,
Marko

The Real Slightly Technical

I had to write a little recap of 2025, as time is flying at warp 9.7.
First of all, I wish you all a Happy New Year, most of all I wish you health and free time to do things that you actually love doing.
At the start of last year 2025, I published my website and started my Academy.
Late January I started taking Youtube more seriously, and publishing videos, and actually had a bunch of people watch them and comment.
Typically, I addressed some sensitive topics, and that started mini wars in the comments.
Was really fun.
I've actually learned so much from all that.
I released my pilot course Demystified: The Big Muff Pi. Boy, I burned out at at time.
I was watching stuff change on social media in real time and I was part of it.
But despite some weird periods, I kept adapting the content, and I made more of it.
On August 27th, I started my Balkans edition of my social media account - because I simply love to do the same thing TWICE.
Now we are here and I've got an editor assistant, and a simply ridiculous plan for 2026.
Yeah, that all happened in less then a year.

Get ready guys, I've got ridiculous plans for this year.
There's also plan B if the grid goes down, we're just going unplugged.

What's up everyone!
Made a new video on wireless systems - talking about some new stuff, the pros, the cons, the frequencies, and we also did some fancy measurements (of course!)
There's some interesting stuff covered, so be sure to check it out!

Gotta go work on those stupid reels, but I'm planning to come back with some serious workshops here soon!

Peace out!

What's up my YT friends!
FIRST OFF ALL - I need to say that I REALLY APPRECIATE the people who are actually following whatever I post. I see your comments, and I know there are a bunch of you guys watching and liking from the shadows and I really respect that.
You have probably seen that I was not really active with the long form lately, basically since I went on vacation...
Well, I guess you deserve a little update.
YouTube has been a bit weird lately, channels of all sizes in all industries have been experiencing a huge drop in views, and the same has happened to me. Even friends who follow me who I see in person say that they don't see my videos come out. It is what it is - I'm not here to whine about it.

However, because of this drop in performance, I've been trying some new stuff, just to see if something may work better. It seems that Shorts work best - which is sad.
I had to shift my focus a little bit to the short form, mainly on Instagram, and as well as TikTok and my other IG profile in my native language.
So my long form has been suffering a little bit, but it's simply too much work for reaching 500 views. Not really helping my business or my lower back issues 😂

I've also been getting offers from companies for product promotions, where I pretty much turned down all of them, because product promotion is not what I want to do.
Normally I would consider it and see if I can fit the product in some kind of interesting "educational" video, where I can actually compare it with other stuff, simply not do what most channels do.
I think I only agreed with 1 company to send me some small product that I'll feature in a future video because I thought it'd be interesting.

NOW, I've been thinking about what I would do, something that would be different and refreshing and I've started implementing some of these plans.
That generally means that for now, my focus will be more on short form, until I manage with these novelties, and I hope that you'll like that. It's just a lot of work, so it'll need some time.

Please let me know what you'd like to see, getting some feedback and quality engagement always helps.
In the meantime, I'm also working on some new features for the Discord channel to liven that place up, some stuff
that people can actually benefit from, so go check that out.

Love you all,
I'll be seeing you soon.
Marko

P.S. This is the face I make when I'm considering something 😄

Guitarists keep chasing gear. Producers don’t care.

While players obsess over pedals and amps, producers only care about performance, tone that fits the mix, and whether the part serves the song.

We talk about it in the new video!

New video is out: The Dark Side of AI in Music Production

AI tools are everywhere now — from songwriting helpers to guitar tone shaping, to full-blown mixing & mastering. But what about the things they don’t tell you? The shortcuts, the traps, and the “dark secrets” that could change how you record forever.

Do all reactive loads sound the same? Not even close.

We just dropped a deep-dive into what makes reactive loads behave differently—and why some feel more “real” than others.

If you’ve ever wondered why your amp feels different with a reactive load than with a cab, or which product is right for you, this post explains everything.
