I've been a bit quiet this week while trying to finalize a local venue for our first event. Sadly the timing is not working out, so I'm putting that idea away for now and keeping it as a future goal. 😊 For now I am shifting my focus back to the garden and getting ready to restock the shop this week! Thanks everyone for your support ❤️.
The first batch of orders is packed and ready! 😍 Thank you so much for the love shown to the shop this week.
Elara, Sable, and Brynn are down to just 1, and the others only have a few left. I’ll be doing a restock run at some point, but these are the last few for now.
Now that it is officially open, my regular long-form posting schedule resumes next week! Stay tuned for more garden moments and what’s coming next. Have a great weekend 🌱
I just finished filming this week's long form video which involves more seed starting and planting out a few of my tomatoes! Here are my other plans for the next 2 weeks of April:
- fertilize roses and onions - weed cut flower bed - tidy strawberry bed - finish planting out tomatoes - start bean seeds (bush & runner) - start basil or get some from the nursery - get some marigolds - make final cut flower selections
I'm probably missing something like always lol. Let me know what you have going on this first half of the month 😍
I can't believe it's the last full week of March!! 😱. This month has been full of ups and downs for my family but the garden always seems to brighten my days❤️.
A few pretty things have been blooming! I have also finally set a date to venture out to the nursery! I love the spring blooming things but I'm ready to add in those annuals to bring in some more pops of color.
Quick run down of what I have completed off camera:
-all 50 strawberries are now home in the greenstalk grow tower. Some are greening and some look sad. Hoping they get it together lol
- my 3rd grow tower is filled with soil and will be seeded with black turtle beans soon
- I lifted and divided the biggest dahlia tubers ever!! Photos of those to come (HUGE)!
- planted a new apple tree & 3 new blueberries! yayy for fruit!
- the front garden containers have been placed and filled with potting mix
- the kitchen garden path has been weeded and is now full of more containers!
Hi everyone! February has been interesting! I ended up getting sick right after our son recovered 😭. So nothing from the list I posted got done lol. But I did manage to get a few other things checked off:
-pruned all of our fruit trees (took a few feet of the fig tree since it was taller than the house)
-sprayed them and the roses with copper fungicide and plan to do that again this week. I am determined to beat black spot this year.
-weeded the Kitchen Garden entrance! we will get it mulched this week.
-fish fertilized the tomato & pepper seedlings
-planted 25 new bare-root strawberries in a Greenstalk plants. I have 25 more to plant this week.
And that's all I can remember off the top of my head lol. Things are pretty busy so my next long-form will happen mid-March. Let me know what you gotten done this week!! 🥰
Hi everyone! I had to take a short break while one of my little ones was sick, but I'm back at it! My plans for the week:
- continue editing my next long-form video (should be released this week) - finalize my spring container layout (photos are the work in progress) - pot up more seedlings - direct sow lettuce & carrots - begin cleaning out the greenhouse, it's a mess 😅 - possibly take my first nursery trip of the season (yes please)!
The last one may be a stretch depending on how many garden tasks I get done. But I still feel ahead for the most part. ❤️
What’s happening in your gardens this week? Lmk! 👀
The garden is covered in snow and it is very cold!! 🥶 I did not want to go outside at all but the children insisted we needed to😅. But it is has been snowing for about 5 hours now and it is about 3.5 inches which is interesting for GA. Jumping several times though definitely warmed me up lol.
I have so many garden tasks to complete though so I'm hoping next week brings workable weather. Lmk how your weekend is fairing so far. 🥰
Winter weather check-in ❄️. Issue with my last poll so re-posting just this instead.
We’ve got an ice storm headed our way, so things may be a little quieter on my end for a moment. Especially if we lose power. Stay safe and warm if you’re in it too or experience a weather event in your area 🤍.
