🚨 Let me explain something to you!!!
When I share information based on my experience and the knowledge I've gained from years of crafting, it is NOT the end-all, be-all of crafting advice.
Do you know how many talented crafters have come before me? There are definitely a few things I'll stand on a hill about, but coming at me in the comments over a heat gun when I NEVER said, "Don't use a heat gun," is missing the entire point.
What I said was that for many common crafting tasks, you can save money by using a hair dryer instead. If you know me, you know I rarely recommend a heat gun except for specific situations. The purpose of the video was simply to offer a budget-friendly alternatives so people don't feel like they HAVE TO PURCHASE EVERY LITTLE CRAFT TOOL for crafting!
Now, if you emboss or participate in a craft that requires higher temperatures, then absolutely go buy yourself a heat gun! Use the tools that work best for your craft. Different crafts require different tools special for those circumstances. Which obviously the information I presented about heat guns still being factual in the context I gave it doesnt matter when approached from the * this exact technique requires a HEAT GUN! I can not use a hair dryer * Obviously!!
The same goes for those little tabletop vacuums. In my experience, the three I've purchased weren't worth the money. For what I spent, I could have bought a decent handheld vacuum. So I choose a different method. This person says my method creates more mess. Maybe for them it does. For me? My little Dollar Tree dust broom gets the job done just fine. (Don't judge... 😂)
Plus, I don't use embossing powder so I am also not worried about getting messy dust and glittery bits everywhere. Usually, when thats the case I don't even use a vaccum or broom. I grab a wet cloth because I do not want particles getting kicked up in the air me and my family breath in by using a vaccum! I ALSO have air purifiers running in my home to protect against such things.
And, if you actually watched the video, you'd hear me say that some people love these products and they work great for them. That's okay! This is what I have learned from my experience!
I'm here to share what has worked for me, what hasn't worked for me, and hopefully inspire someone along the way. Take what helps, leave what doesn't, and keep creating.
