Here is an announcement I sent to members a few days ago:


Just wanted to give you all a quick heads-up. Something pretty major is happening in my personal/professional life, and it’s going to take up more of my time over the coming months.



That said, I still plan to post regularly, aiming for about 1 to 2 videos a week on average starting up in August. There might be a week here or there where I have to skip entirely, and other weeks where I can post a whole bunch (like 5, if I get the time and creative energy!).



As we get closer to June of next year, I’ll be getting busier, and updates may slow down a bit. But after June, things should calm down — either a lot or at least enough for me to dive back into more consistent uploads again.



Thanks for sticking with me and for all the support. It means the world, and I’m excited to keep sharing stories with you when I can.

Youtube has automatically enabled the setting to add midroll ads to all videos eligible. Where they "best see fit to maximize income".

For one of these videos, that's only about 30 minutes long, apparently to YouTube. That means adding 17 mid-roll ads.

I've been going through and deleting ads as I have the time to, and apologize in advance if this affects anybody's viewing experience.

At most I try to do one or two mid-roll ads in natural break points per 30 minutes of Video time. Some of you might think even that is excessive, but I'm just trying to balance things out.

In any case, if you see any video that has a particularly high amount of ads, please leave a comment and I'll take a look at it!

Hey everyone,

New Eclipse episode drops tomorrow, followed by an original standalone story on Thursday. Due to low view count I will also discontinue "Roadside Picnic" and move on to something else.

The not-so-great news: things are going to slow down a bit. Right now, I can’t afford to put out two Eclipse stories a month. Each one costs about $200 to produce, since I work with Jordan Long (the writer) to develop them and unfortunately, the channel is only making a quarter of what it did this time last year. I've always been able to use revenue from the other narrations to subsidize having my own stuff created.

Meanwhile, AI-generated slop is pulling tens of thousands of views. It's hard not to feel bitter about it.

For those who don’t know, this isn’t my full-time job. I’ve been job hunting for the past five months while doing Uber and other side gigs just to stay afloat. That doesn’t leave much room to fund extra stories.

I’m still committed to sharing classics, stories from real authors, and the worlds I’m building—but for now, I have to pace things so I don’t burn out or go broke.
