Well, due to my laziness getting the best of me, all my upcoming sketches are getting delayed until next year. I know it sucks to wait even longer, but here's the bright side I'm trying to focus on.

This long wait means I get to write and develop EVEN MORE sketches plus plan some exciting content for 2026. Who knows - maybe they'll be worth the wait!

I'll still drop a couple already planned videos to close out 2025 strong. Because you EKWatchers deserve entertainment, even from your procrastination-champion creator.

The new EKWReacts video is officially halfway through editing - I'm making solid progress and it's looking fire! 🔥 I'm targeting to have it wrapped up and ready for you by the end of the month, which works out perfectly because I can jump straight into the next mashup.

Speaking of projects, I'm also deep in the trenches working on the new EKWSkitz video. Not gonna lie - writing these sketches is taking longer than expected, but that's because I'm still learning the ropes of comedy writing. Coming up with fresh material that'll have you rolling takes time, and since I'm still new to this whole sketch thing, I'm asking for your patience while I perfect the craft!

Well, it's been a while since I took a long break to recharge, and a lot has changed on YouTube since then. For the better, and (mostly) for the worst.

Starting tomorrow, YouTube will launch a new AI-powered system that tries to figure out your age based on what you watch and search for. If their "system" thinks you’re under 18, you’ll suddenly find a bunch of videos (including a good chunk of mine) locked behind an “age-appropriate” wall. 🚧

Honestly, this is a gut punch for a lot of you EKWatchers—especially since nearly a third of you are in that 13-17 age group, and so many of you have been the heart of this channel. When I created EKWReacts, for instance, it started as just a bunch of goofy reaction mashups, but became a total love letter to fandoms, gaming, and pop culture. EKWReacts is all about those wild, genuine moments—like watching people cry over a Mario trailer, or seeing creators geek out together. That’s the magic of this community, and it sucks to think an algorithm might just snatch it away.

I get that safety matters online, but having a machine decide what you can and can’t watch just isn’t it. We deserve better tools—real controls that put the power in YOUR hands, not some faceless AI that thinks it knows you better than you know yourself.

So, to everyone affected by this new system: thank you for being a part of this wild ride and for supporting my content, even if you’re suddenly locked out of half of it. The channel isn’t going anywhere (don’t panic!), but I know some of you might be missing out—and that’s depressing.

As for the rest who aren't, fight back against this crackdown and push for smarter, more human safety tools. Machines shouldn’t be the ones keeping us “safe.” It’s up to us, the community, to demand better.

I need to talk to you all about something important that's been happening lately. Starting July 15th, YouTube will be cracking down harder on videos they consider "unoriginal" - basically channels that use other people's media without really transforming or editing it properly, and they're cutting off monetization for those channels.

Now, I know what you're thinking - and yeah, I use other people's media in my EKWReacts series. But here's the thing: I always make sure I'm transforming that content and using it under fair use. I'm not just showing clips of stuff - I'm adding people's commentary, their reactions, their hilarious perspective. That's what makes it transformative.

But let's be real here - there's always a chance I could get caught up in this mess anyway.

YouTube's algorithms aren't perfect, and sometimes they might hit channels that are actually following the rules. So there's a possibility I might have to take a break from EKWReacts or maybe even end the series entirely if things go south.

I'm not gonna lie, this has me a little worried. EKWReacts is a huge part of what I do here, and I know a lot of you love those videos. So I'm asking you all to keep me in your thoughts and prayers that I'm not one of the channels that gets hit by this. I've worked hard to make sure the content I use is transformative and follows fair use, but you never know with these policy changes.

I'll keep you updated on what happens. In the meantime, I'm still gonna keep making content in the future and hopefully everything works out fine.
