White balance is one of the most important things in a photo that makes a real difference(Wrong WB can completely change the mood of an image),there's no particular WB to set it depends on lighting just like exposure triangle.I prefer slightly warmer colours,maybe you have another taste.In many beginner cameras you can't set Kelvin/colour temperature value.So you have to use preset colour temperatures(daylight,cloudy..etc).If you are confused use AWB and if you think it's not accurate or not what you want then go to lightroom/snapseed and bring the colour temperature picker into a grey/white/black coloured thing in the photo..most of the times it will give you accurate white balance of that particular scene.If above mentioned colours are not available in the photo then choose autocorrect feature of the editing software.
