🎨 Sculptures: Mother Earth, The Man Who Planted Trees, and The Six Pairs of YY

These photos are with the sculpture Mother Earth-she isn’t just beautiful—she’s a living tribute to Indigenous wisdom. Inspired by Pachamama, Chief Seattle’s 1854 speech, and the 1992 Earth Summit, she reminds us: we don’t own the Earth—we belong to it. 🌍🌿 Mother Earth stands a breathtaking 11 m (36 ft) tall, featuring a cascading waterfall flowing from her arm—this piece went viral online for good reason

HERSTORY: Vera Ventura, The Breast Cancer Goddess

The sun was streaming through the car window, casting light across Vera’s face as she dozed in the passenger seat. Pink bandana wrapped around her hair like a warrior’s crown, goggles resting on her face like armor from another world. She wasn’t asleep so much as recharging—gathering her sacred fire for the surprise pole fitness class she was taking us to. This was her style: soft power, fierce play. She doesn’t just survive—she dances with life.

Vera Ventura is not your average woman. She is myth and medicine stitched into skin. She is the storm and the calm. A mother, a wife, a teacher, a healer—and a thriver who refused to be a statistic.

After earning degrees from Skidmore and Harvard, she spent years shaping young minds as a public school teacher before life threw her into the deepest initiation of all. When she was diagnosed with Stage IV metastasized breast cancer, it could have been the end. But for Vera, it was a door. She walked through it—eyes open, heart fierce, soul wide.

What came next was nothing short of a rebirth.

Her cancer went into radical remission. Other diagnoses came—a brain tumor, terminal brain cancer, and now thyroid cancer—but none of them could hold her down. Each diagnosis became another layer of her becoming, another scar turned sacred. She walks with it all, not above it, not beneath it, but with it. And she invites others to do the same.

Vera is the founder of Breast Cancer Goddess, a nonprofit sanctuary for anyone walking through the fire of diagnosis, treatment, recovery, or the unknown in between. It’s more than an organization—it’s a home for healing, a rebellion against isolation, a bridge between Western medicine and the ancient wisdom of plant-based, spirit-led care.

Through her coaching, retreats, and storytelling, she guides people to their own inner medicine. She talks about detoxing from chemo and toxic thoughts. She teaches non-toxic living not just as a lifestyle, but as a love story between the body and the Earth. She helps others remember that healing isn’t linear—it’s wild, circular, messy, holy.

Vera lives in Boston with her husband Joe and their two beautiful children. But in truth, she lives in the hearts of every person who has sat with her, cried with her, danced with her, breathed a little easier because of her light.

She’s not just surviving—she’s blazing. A Hera. A phoenix. A reminder that we can live fully even in the shadows, that we can rise even while still healing.

Just sharing some of the photos I’ve taken for clients.
As artists, we don’t create to keep things hidden—we create to be felt, seen, and shared. Letting the work out into the world is part of the magic. Here’s a little glimpse of that.
