Reading is very important in the dance. It enhances the imagination and communication and helps connect within ourselves. In a due course, the students’ movement becomes more authentic.
Sakthi Fine Arts Library @Smriti has a wider range of books, journals, magazines, for their students to understand their roots and bridge the current developments.
This year Sakthi Fine Arts participated for the second time in Read for Books, a special book donation drive by the @NLB National library board, which is part of the national reading movement. The intention is to raise awareness of reading and to share the joy of reading with the less privileged. Many of SFA STUDENTS participated in this and enjoyed the joy of reading together.

Some moments are always close to the heart. This Arangetram is one among them to me. Marked as 5th Arangetram by Sakthi Fine Arts, Param’s dance items just falls in line during the choreography. The first half was in praise of Shiva kudumbha and second half is of Vishnu Kudumbha. We had begun this arangetram practices during the Covid restrictions with just 50 invitees in mind but it was staged with a house full of guests including the presence of grand parents and friends. The dancers, audience and the entire team of orchestra felt the vibes in each item.
I should say Param had elevated me as a person, as a teacher and as a Rasika(audience)
Congratulations to the students and thank you for the parents who had been of great support throughout the process.
