in place of asphalt, cement with special long lasting vulcan ash and maybe even elastic things like other earths, salts, woods, silicon, etc obvious, not that much rare ingredients would make better roads. In US etc roads are big enough for even wide cars , so especially here , just putting it over the existing streets would probably do it. Repairing it with that & usual h strong repairs would maybe not do it as good.
Also as we can use more electric traffic, or hydrogen also for space, anti gravity, ... 8spinnings rounded techs , a lot of flora would b better off the streets anyway. Again if u manage enough space so cars don't crash against it etc (if even possible with ai auto guided safety crash slide car streets etc etc etc .....) then trees look good with enough safety distance.
