A massive project is coming soon! 🔥

I’m currently restoring a huge drill press, approximately 1.2 meters tall — the biggest machine I’ve ever worked on so far.

This machine is in very rough condition, with multiple cracks and damaged parts that make this project especially challenging. The drill table has been drilled so many times that it literally looks like it was hit by bullets.

Bringing this old machine back to life will require a lot of repair work, patience, and attention to detail. This is definitely one of the toughest projects I’ve taken on.

HB Restoration

This is the final result of restoring a 1-meter drill press from Hitachi. After years of heavy use, the machine had become worn and covered in rust, with faded paint and components that no longer operated smoothly. Despite its condition, the solid frame and classic industrial design proved it was built to last and worth bringing back to life.

The restoration process included full disassembly, deep cleaning, rust removal, and careful inspection of every part. Worn bearings were replaced, moving mechanisms were adjusted, and the motor was tested to ensure stable and reliable performance. The body was refinished to restore its original character while giving it a clean, refreshed appearance.
