Why are the 6 fasts of Shawwal so special?

The Prophet ď·ş said:
“Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted the whole year.”
— Sahih Muslim

How does that equal a whole year?

Allah says in the Qur’an that every good deed is rewarded 10 times.

So the reward is:

30 days of Ramadan = 300
6 days of Shawwal = 60

That becomes 360 days of reward, which is like fasting an entire year. SubhanAllah

These 6 fasts are also a beautiful sign that our worship continues even after Ramadan ends.

May Allah make it easy for all of us to complete them. Ameen

Are you done with Shawwal fasts yet?

If you haven't, it isn't too late yet. You have about 2 weeks left to get it done.
