So, anyone who knows me knows that I love ties. I have hundreds of men’s ties, and one of the biggest milestones for me when I was younger was learning how to tie one. I still remember my manager at Fiesta in Houston, Texas, teaching me. The moment I finally got it right on my own was such a great feeling.

A how to tie a men’s tie video I uploaded to TikTok showing others how to tie a tie, and it’s now approaching one million views. The number of messages and comments I’ve received from people who were able to tie a tie because of that video has been incredible. Some needed it for a graduation, others for a funeral, a wedding, or another important event in their lives.

Knowing that I’ve helped teach nearly one million people how to tie a tie is one of the most rewarding feelings I’ve ever experienced. Even more amazing is knowing that many of those people will now teach someone else, which means that one day that number could grow into the millions. No one can ever take that away from me, and that’s a pretty special feeling.

I am so grateful that God freed me from that life of bondage. Anyone who knew me in the past knows that I was always partying and living a lifestyle where sobriety was not even on my radar. But God had other plans.

I was constantly chasing the next high through drugs, alcohol, and unhealthy relationships. Today, I can tell you from personal experience that the sober life is so much better. The clarity, peace, energy, and freedom that come with sobriety are priceless. Waking up without regret, shame, or wondering what happened the night before is a blessing I never take for granted.

If you believe sobriety is not possible for you, I rebuke that lie. I am living proof that change is possible. With God’s help, you can break free too. Sobriety looks good on you.
