WHY TINUBU SHOULD BE WORRIED
In the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi secured about 6.1 million votes while Rabiu Kwankwaso polled roughly 1.5 million. Combined, both candidates attracted more than 7.6 million votes against Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approximately 8.8 million. Looking back at those figures now, it becomes easier to understand why many political observers are paying serious attention to the growing Obi-Kwankwaso alliance ahead of 2027.
Although both men ran on separate platforms in 2023, they built some of the strongest grassroots political movements seen in recent Nigerian political cycles, particularly among young urban voters, first-time voters, and northern populist blocs. Personally, I think what made both movements different was not just party structure, but the emotional connection and loyalty many ordinary Nigerians developed toward them during that election season.
The significance of the emerging alliance lies not only in the combined vote strength of both men, but also in the possibility of merging their organisational structures, volunteer networks, and legislative influence under one political platform. That possibility alone is already changing conversations within Nigeria’s political space because many people believe a united structure could become more difficult to ignore nationally.
Unlike 2023, when Obi and Kwankwaso ran separately, the emerging alliance is now attracting sitting lawmakers. Several senators and House of Representatives members have reportedly moved toward the NDC following the Obi-Kwankwaso alliance, strengthening perceptions that the party could evolve from what many once considered a fringe platform into a serious national political force before 2027.
Among those who defected was Senator Victor Umeh, who cited instability and litigation within the ADC as major reasons for his decision. Whether this new political alignment will fully reshape the 2027 election remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: many Nigerians are watching closely because the political calculations ahead of the next election are beginning to look very different from what we saw in 2023.
All NDC and "OK" members should start the mobilization now. There's no time to waste.

Nigeria’s Supreme Court on Thursday delivered a major political judgment that has temporarily strengthened the authority of the Senator David Mark-led leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The apex court ruled that the Court of Appeal exceeded its powers when it ordered parties in the ADC leadership crisis to maintain the “status quo ante bellum.” This decision is being seen as an important legal and political development in the ongoing struggle for control of the party.
In a unanimous decision by a five-member panel led by Justice Mohammed Garba, the Supreme Court held that the appellate court acted improperly by issuing a preservative order after it had already dismissed the appeal before it. The justices described the order as unnecessary, unwarranted, and improper, and consequently set it aside. This effectively restores the legal standing of the David Mark-led faction pending the full determination of the substantive suit at the Federal High Court.
The practical implication of the ruling is that the David Mark-led national leadership of the ADC can continue to function for now, while the substantive dispute over who lawfully controls the party returns to the trial court for final adjudication. Before the judgment, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had relied on the Court of Appeal’s status quo order to suspend recognition of the Mark-led executives on its records. Thursday’s decision now weakens the legal basis of that earlier suspension.
Legal analysts say the reasoning of the Supreme Court is consistent with long-standing Nigerian judicial authorities that courts must not interfere excessively in the internal affairs of political parties except where statutory or constitutional rights are violated. Previous authorities such as Onuoha v. Okafor (1983), PDP v. Sylva (2012), and Lado v. CPC (2011) all emphasized that party leadership, candidate selection, and internal disputes remain primarily party matters unless laws have clearly been breached. The latest judgment reinforces the doctrine that appellate courts must act strictly within jurisdiction and cannot create leadership structures for political parties through interim orders.
Despite the victory for David Mark, the Supreme Court did not finally determine who lawfully controls the ADC. Instead, it directed the parties back to the Federal High Court, where the substantive claims over the party’s leadership will still be decided. This means the political battle inside the ADC is far from over. However, for now, the Supreme Court has handed David Mark a significant legal advantage in the struggle for control of one of Nigeria’s rising opposition parties.

Just IN!!! 2027 : Kwankwaso Agrees to be Peter Obi’s Running Mate - Aide Confirms
Yes the north did it against Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and succeeded that he failed returning for second tenure. They merged with Yorubas and unseat good luck Jonathan. I think it's a pay back time. Besides his government is as w0*St as h3ll
The broader conversation reflects strategic calculations ahead of 2027, with many observers revisiting the coalition dynamics that led to the defeat of Goodluck Jonathan and brought a united opposition to power. A potential alliance between Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso would represent a powerful North–South ticket, combining Obi’s strong support base in the South and among urban voters with Kwankwaso’s deep grassroots influence in parts of the North. If effectively structured and backed by a solid party platform, such a ticket could pose a serious electoral challenge to Bola Ahmed Tinubu by bridging regional divides and mobilizing a broader voter coalition.
However, victory would not be automatic. The success of such a ticket would depend heavily on party unity, elite consensus, voter turnout, and the ability to penetrate regions where both candidates currently have weaker influence. While the combination has clear electoral potential on paper, translating that into a winning formula would require disciplined coordination, strong grassroots structures nationwide, and the ability to maintain a united front against internal party rivalries and external political pressure.

When it comes to the presidential ambition of Atiku Abubakar, one thing is clear—this is not a journey he is likely to abandon easily. From as far back as 1993, when he contested under the SDP against Moshood Abiola, to his role as Vice President under Olusegun Obasanjo, Atiku has consistently remained in the race. Over the years, he has moved across major political parties, contested multiple primaries, and faced defeats in general elections against figures like Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, Muhammadu Buhari, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu—yet he continues to push forward.
His political history shows a pattern of persistence that few can match. From returning to the PDP after setbacks, to joining the APC and later leaving again, Atiku has demonstrated a long-term commitment to his presidential ambition. Even in moments where political pressure suggested stepping aside—such as zoning debates or internal party tensions—he has chosen to remain in the contest. This track record suggests that his current positioning within the African Democratic Congress is part of a broader, consistent strategy rather than a temporary move.
Given this background, expectations that Atiku would step down for another aspirant may not align with his political character. For him, this ambition appears to go beyond momentary calculations—it reflects years of investment, resilience, and determination. Whether one agrees or disagrees, the reality is that Atiku Abubakar has built a reputation as a contender who stays in the race, regardless of the odds, making any speculation about him stepping aside highly unlikely.

Have you seen the video where Tracynither Ohiri apologized to Engr. Dave Umahi? If you have not, it’s on KaaTruths page.
When Dave’s people sent me that video, the first thing that came to my mind was the leader of the #TakeitBack movement, Omoyele Sowore, VDM, and all the people who moved from Police Station to Court to Hospital, fighting for her.
The disappointment they would feel when they see the apology video.
Now, one could say they paid her and asked her to apologize, or that she apologized under duress, that would be a valid suspicion, but it also shows something much more worrisome about her own character and why Nigeria is the way it is.
The first thing I did was to reach out to her to know what happened, but she she did not take her calls or return my WhatsApp messages.
I reached out to Sowore and Sowore said something very powerful. He said, “Money is the root of all evil! Nothing disappoints me about humans. The reason I made it clear my involvement is never beyond stopping police repression. I never met her after she was released because I wasn’t interested in anything else.”
Money is the root of all evil!
Even the Bible affirmed that the love of money is the root of all evil.
Money gives power to the wicked and money turns people to liars and blackmailers.
Money is the ultimate test of people’s character and in Nigeria, not many survives such tests.
It’s money that ensures Reno stays awake trying to find a way to take back the things he had said against PBAT in the past.
It’s money that ridiculed Bwala in an international media.
It’s money and love of power that pushes Nigerian politicians from one party to another like ants searching for sugar.
It’s money that makes people to cook up lies to blackmail innocent people.
Money shows the instability of people’s character and Tracynither’s case is the reason why at KaaTruths, we ensure we do not take sides in any case unless there’s a direct attack on us.
Because people lie a lot.
Because people can be bought.
Because people are easily threatened to submission.
Because most people lack stability of character.
Because sometimes, the so-called aggressors we all hate are actually the victims.
And for now, make we just dey look. Another story fit come up tomorrow. In Falz’s voice: This is Nigeria.
