Even though I’m a teacher, I still get overwhelmed by the mountain of school emails and PDFs that come home. Between permission slips, "Spirit Week" themes, and random early-dismissal days, it’s a full-time job just to keep the calendar straight.

I used to just hope for the best and deal with the "Crazy Sock Day" panic at 7:00 AM. But lately, I’ve been letting AI do the heavy lifting.

I’ll be honest—some days the "Triple Threat" (Full-time teacher, full-time dad, part-time creator) feels like a losing battle.
My brain is usually fried by 8 PM, and trying to learn graphic design on top of everything else in my 40s?
It’s a lot. There are moments when I look at the screen and think, "Is anyone even going to care about this?"

But then, I finally get to press 'Public.'

It’s the weirdest thing. All that frustration from the edit and the tech hurdles just evaporates. Even if it's just one person halfway across the world who says, "Hey, this AI tip actually helped my morning," it makes the late nights worth it. It’s a small win, but it’s mine.

Rushing to finish a Short before the 'day job' begins… the struggle is real. 🏃💨

It’s currently that frantic window of time where I’m trying to tie up a video, make sure the lighting isn't a mess, and keep my creative brain switched on—all while keeping one eye on the clock because I have to leave for work in 15 minutes.

I’ll be honest: I’m struggling with the creative side this morning. When you’re rushing, it’s easy to feel like the video isn't "perfect" or that you’re just pushing buttons instead of being inspired.

But here’s what I’ve learned in my 40s: Consistent is better than perfect.

Building AI and You while working full-time is a puzzle, and some days the pieces just don't want to fit. But I’m showing up anyway. Whether this Short turns out to be a masterpiece or just a "done" project, it’s one step closer to the goal.

To anyone else out there squeezing their dreams into the 15 minutes before work—I see you. It’s hard, it’s messy, and it’s worth it.

I have a newfound respect for the 'YouTube Generation.' 🎥

I just posted my first long-form video, and I have to be honest—it was a lot harder than it looks!

Between setting up the recording area, wrestling with Premiere Pro, and trying to look natural while talking to my smartphone's camera, my respect for the younger generation of creators has gone through the roof. They make this look effortless, but I’ve learned firsthand that "effortless" takes a massive amount of work.

As a business owner over 40, I’m used to challenges, but this is a whole different beast. It took me hours just to figure out the lighting!

But that’s exactly why I’m doing this. If I’m struggling with the tech, I know many of you are, too. My goal with AI and You is to take all this "chaos" I'm learning and simplify it for you. If I can figure it out, we can all figure it out.
