The first time I saw Easter played out in church— from the last supper to the cross— I couldn’t stop crying.

It felt real, especially the part where we had to walk towards the cross in church and nail our sins to the cross just before the Holy communion. It was like I was seeing, for the first time, what had always been said.

This Good Friday in church (Kingsview Church) it happened again.

The cross reminds me of surrender. Christ surrendered His life so that I might live. And now, I’m learning that following Him means surrendering too.

Letting go of the life I try to control and trusting the life He is leading me into.

It’s no longer just a story to me.

It’s an invitation.
