Founded in 2011 by third-generation aviator Darryl Fisher and his wife, Carol, nonprofit Dream Flights is dedicated to honoring military veterans living in retirement communities, assisted living, and memory care communities with free flights in restored WWII–era Stearman biplanes.
Since 2011, Dream Flights has honored more than 6,500 veterans and seniors nationwide. During the 2021 Operation September Freedom Tour, 891 #veteransWWII in 47 states flew with Dream Flights—marking the largest barnstorming event in U.S. history dedicated to honoring WWII heroes.
Our mission is made possible through the support of partners, including Sport Clips Haircuts, American Airlines, Veterans United Home Loans, AHCA/NCAL, Argentum, the Allied Pilots Association, Vital Life Foundation, and Incite Strategic Partners.
