Many of you may not know this about me, but I’m originally from Venezuela. 🇻🇪💛
I’ve gone back and forth about sharing this because this channel is usually a cozy place centered around perfume, comfort and relaxing moments, but what’s happening in Venezuela right now has affected me deeply. 😢
Watching the images, hearing the stories, and knowing how many families have lost loved ones, homes, and a sense of safety due to the earthquakes has been heartbreaking. Even though I live in Florida now, Venezuela is home, and seeing so much pain there has been very hard on me.
I know there isn’t much I can personally do from here, but I thought that maybe, in my own small way, I could help spread the word and share a few organizations for anyone who has been wondering how they can help.
I spent some time researching and chose organizations that are independent humanitarian nonprofits with long histories of disaster relief work and that operate separately from government institutions. I’ve listed them in the pinned comment below for anyone interested.
