Having watched this video myself, it really, REALLY pisses me off that such a competition is this rigged, not to mention Miss Tap-Water’s attitude throughout the video is just toxic and deceitful while she herself presenting subpar fried rice. Honestly, Uncle Roger, I agree with your opinions.

So, I went to ACG HK 2025 earlier today. Just saying, I’m thankful I like Transformers as much as I do, since it’s some of the most fun I’ve had as a Transformers fan I’ve had in a while.

I didn’t really go check out every booth, and most of my time was just doing stuff at the Transformers booth, but if you’re a fan of just anything fictional, this is definitely an event for you.

Overall, this experience warrants a 9/10, and should be experienced by everyone at least once if you come to Hong Kong around this time. My advice for anyone coming is to buy the priority access tickets as fast as you can, since it gets VERY crowded later on.

When it comes to power scaling, I have a few gripes that I really want to express my distaste for. I know there are many problems within the community, but I feel like these are the most notable to me.

1: Points in matchups determining difficulty and outcome

In the past, I have seen numerous matchups where the character with less points ends up winning, and I am completely fine with that. However, I do have a problem with people taking the points in the outcome at face value. You see, points in WIS matchup are mainly used to determine which character gets which stat, and ties are bound to happen. However, a large difference in points between 2 character shouldn't mean that the character with more points easily wins, as the difference between who gets what stat could be closer than we think. At the same time, just because a character gets more points than the other doesn't mean they automatically win, as the character with less points may have excelled in more crucial areas that alter the outcome of a fight. In short, power-scaling is a lot more complex than just numbers at face value.

2: The correlation between feats and statements

The larger problem I see is that people would leverage a disadvantaged character's statements and use that as concrete feats of power or whatever metric they are using. I have mainly seen in verses like Genshin Impact, Demon Slayer, Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, Murder Drones and more, and it sickens me to see people use statements as concrete evidence. Statements are not entirely unreliable, but they only provide an upper bound to what a character is capable of at their strongest state, which is inconsistent as most characters we see could be out of their prime and as such don't have said power based on the version used in any matchup.

Due to the inconsistency of statements, feats would be used to gauge a ballpark estimate of where the character currently stands and is actually capable of now in comparison to their prime. As such, because THESE showings can be calculated accurately and determined correctly, feats should be used more often in power-scaling discussions, as statements would only clutter up the understanding of the audience rather than provide a clear answer.

3: Titles

To me, titles mean nothing other than a representative role from their own verse. As such, it's not logical to use a title as a way to leverage a character winning a fight against another, especially considering the roles have no meaning to the opponent. It's annoying to see examples like "HH Lucifer beats Doomslayer because he's King of Hell". Thing is, being King of Hell doesn't matter in a fight against a character like Doomslayer, since the concept of "Hell" in Doom is different from the concept of "Hell" in HB/HH. Because of the difference in meaning, you cannot take a title that COULD exist in both verses and use that as leverage in favor of a character that you lose 9 times out of 10.

Hope this can help the power-scaling community in many ways.

I wanna keep a more organized way to manage any requests or video ideas, so this post will serve as a suggestion section. Post any suggestions here and I’ll get through as many of them as I can whenever I can.
