🟡 New single “The Gold Within” is out today! 🟡 Hey friends, as the year turns into its final chapter, the current section of my musical journey is also slowly approaching its conclusion. Today I released the last single before my album "Between Animals and Gods" which will be released later this year. The new track “The Gold Within” is a minimalist, loop-based piece of music that creates a calm and meditative but at the same time very lively atmosphere. Loops with different lengths played by e-piano, drums, bass and different string instruments create ever moving patterns and new constellations. Hi! Later this week, I will release a new single, which - like the four tracks I've already put out this year - will be featured on my upcoming album, "Between Animals and Gods". Kind of a heavy title, I know, but I find the tension between these two poles fascinating: Animals, on the one hand, represent instinct, embodiment, and nature; Gods, on the other hand, represent rationality, spirit, and cultural fabrication. Both concepts have a very long tradition, at least in Western philosophy, and it turns out that they are not just opposites, but are infinitely entangled. The phrase "Between Animals and Gods" lays out the playground of this dialectical dance. What you see here is the album artwork by the great Gero Paul. With its different inhabitants, it portrays the shimmering multitude of the spectrum between animals and gods.
