To The Garage

Hello everybody. John here!
We are back.
After a month offline due to the channel being hijacked by cryptocurrency scammers, I am so pleased to tell you that ‘To the Garage’ YouTube channel, with its massive back catalogue of over 600 Jaguar X100-related videos, is back online.
Thank you to everybody who has reached out to offer comfort, advice and assistance. This period has really taught me the strength of our X100-related community. Please check to see if you are still subscribed to the channel, and if you were not before, then now is the ideal time. It costs you nothing, but shows YouTube your support for the channel, which is all the more important while we get back up to speed.
Got to go now. I have 3 XK8’s to fix.
Purdey the 96 convertible, has come out in sympathy with Sapphire and Steel (my coupes in need of help)

Finest regards
John

We had a few messages from folk disappointed that they had not known we were selling our IH 630RL Campervan.
Well, we part exchanged it with Camper UK at Lincoln (Brilliant company to deal with, Peerless customer service) And now its up for sale. So if anyone wants a good low mileage tastefully modded example of This high end 2 berth van, then act quickly as they don't stay on the market long.

I know many of my subscribers work in Manufacturing, Engineering, Automotive or related fields or at least have an interest in how cars and car parts are made. My day job for the last 25 years has been 'Business transformation' and 'Lean' primarily in the Automotive world. So, many of you may enjoy a podcast that I co-host twice a month. Check it out and let me know what you think. If you like it, then please give us a thumbs up and a subscribe.👍
P.S. Potentially BIG changes for our XK8 photo competition this year. More info soon!

To The Garage

Its with a heavy heart that I let you know that my wonderful dad passed away on Sunday 12th of September. Anybody who has ever met him will know he was the kindest, happiest soul ever to have walked the planet. And I am honoured to be able to call him my Dad.
Its from him that I gained my love of tinkering in the garage and shed. He gave my brother Alan and I, a childhood filled with adventures and invention.
Soap box racers, home made petrol Go-Carts, motor cross bikes, Commer Motor homes and stationary engines. Indeed The garden at our terraced family home in Lichfield contained at one point 6 sheds to house all of the tools and projects.
Dad made life long friends with almost everyone he met. His personality was magnetic, his words were gentle and wise, and he genuinely made the lives of everyone he met, just a little bit better.
I will try to be as much like him as I can manage
He is and will always be, my best friend and my Hero.
Love you Dad.
Rest Well.
