Try it with a lunge or split where your right leg is forward:
1️⃣Get in position
2️⃣ take your eyes to the left
3️⃣ then notice if you can go deeper.

Switch it for the other side. Then lemme know if worked for you!

Little additions like this, sprinklrd into yoga flow class, are all over the Move with Adell library (that’s my app 👋).

🎉 And that little app turns 5 years old this month, so we’re celebrating with 25% off annual memberships—because the best changes tend to happen over time, not over a weekend.

Use code MWA5BDAY and you’ll get:
✨ A 7-day free trial
✨ A free class pass to join one of my Handstand Club Mini sessions when your trial ends

This offer is available this week only.

You probably have questions. You’re a human on the internet—it would be weird if you didn’t.

When you start learning about the brain, you can’t unsee it.

Your body looks different.
Movement looks different.
Your decisions, energy levels, and moods start looking different.

You stop seeing things only through an external lens and start asking, “What does this look like from my brain’s perspective?”

That’s when body parts that seem unrelated to movement—like your face or hands—suddenly become really interesting. The brain gives them a huge amount of real estate, which means they can have a surprisingly powerful influence on how you move.

PS: The penultimate slide says to do these movements on the weaker side. That’s one option, but not the only one. Try the weaker side, try both sides, and test in between to see which creates the biggest change for you.

Let me know how it goes for you 🧠🫤😠😃🤪🧠

Another reason to train handstands 🙃

The hands may look small, but from a brainy lens, they’re MASSIVE (just google “homunculus” if you haven’t yet seen that guy)

So being able to apply
- JUST the right amount of force
- in JUST the right part of the hand
- at JUST the right time to keep you balanced…

It’s like an explosion of brain power.

Because your hands aren’t just working.

Something as simple as gripping isn’t actually that simple.

It’s timing, coordination, prediction, constant micro-adjustments.

It’s your brain and body having a conversation 🧠 🗣️ 🤚

And we want that conversation to be loud and clear.

my IRL events:
🇸🇮 Ljubljana 15-17 May
🇱🇹 Vilnius 27-28 June
🇦🇹 Yunion Festival 24-30 Aug

Info coming soon on new Handstand Clubs and Handstand Retreats 🙃😘

If you want to handstand comfortably without a wall (or spotter), then you 👏MUST 👏practice 👏away 👏from 👏the 👏wall.

As far as your brain is concerned:
- handstanding with a wall nearby,
- and handstanding in the middle of the room,
are ✌️two different skills✌️

🧠Your brain is a prediction machine—

So if it can predict a wall catching you if you lose balance, the handstand WILL be different.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

But balancing ONLY with a wall — even if you never touch it — is ONLY going to make you better at…balancing with the wall 👀

🫣 Go through the discomfort of bailing out.

I promise you it’s like anything else: with time and repetition, it gets easier.

Use the wall to help you learn alignment, build proprioception, strength, stamina, etc. But get away from it to learn to balance on your own.
