Back in 2012, my wife (girlfriend at the time) and I met Don Schlitz at the Bluebird Cafe. He was very friendly and gracious with his time after playing his set he visited with fans. His songs will live on for years to come. What a legacy he leaves behind. “The Gambler” “Deeper Than The Holler” “When You Say Nothing At All” “Forever And Ever Amen”
Sending prayers and condolences to his family

For fans of Johnny Cash like myself, this book is a real treasure. John Carter Cash not only does a great job of showing how great his father was to him, but also to the many friends and others that he impacted throughout his life. The book is filled with great stories and photos from the legendary Johnny Cash’s life. Two thumbs up! It may be my favorite book I’ve read about Cash.

Any Hank Williams Jr fans out there? 1985 was a big year for Hank and this album is some of his best work in my opinion. Coproduced by the great Jimmy Bowen. Classic Bocephus #countrymusic #hank

Dang good record from Mel Tillis. Released in 1979. Features James Burton on guitar, Buddy Emmons on steel guitar, and Sonny Curtis on acoustic guitar and harmony vocals. Highly recommend listening to this one 👍🏻👍🏻 #countrymusic #70music

These are songs that I’ve been listening to for the 30 plus years and still revisit regularly. As a country music fan, I can’t overstate how much Jim McBride’s songwriting has influenced and inspired me throughout the years. The music world has lost one of the greats today. He either wrote or co-wrote all the songs above and countless others as well. Just want to send prayers and condolences to the McBride family. Thanks for the songs.

PSA for my friends and family that are traditional country music fans…the 100th Anniversary Of The Grand Ole Opry show that took place yesterday night is available on the Peacock Network. It is worth your time, I know the clips are circulating the internet, but the show is very good in its entirety. I just watched it tonight and it was very refreshing to see so many great artists from today and yesterday come together to celebrate the mother church of country music. For all involved thank you for honoring the traditional country music that made fans like myself fall in love with the beauty and honesty that makes this music so timeless.

Finally found a copy of this gem on vinyl at a local thrift store. This record has been my favorite of Linda’s for many years. Hypothetically, if I had unlimited resources and had a band they would sonically sound like this album. The production and players are absolutely incredible. #vinyl #countrymusic #70smusic
