Videos about academics, science, questions, exams and anything I find interesting along the way.

I'm Yash Arya, I completed my bachelor's in physics honors from Hansraj College, University of Delhi and master's in applied physics from Gyeongsang National University, Korea. I decided to create this channel to combine two things I love most: academics and storytelling. In a nutshell, that's what its all about...

Do you know about the No Free Lunch Theorem??

In computer science, No Free Lunch (NFL) theorem is a mathematical principle stating that no single algorithm is universally better than any other when its performance is averaged across all possible problems or datasets. If an algorithm performs exceptionally well on one specific task, it must sacrifice performance on other tasks.

It applies to your life as well.

Most people will get this wrong.

Two identical spaceships are connected by a delicate string, if they both start accelerating near to the speed of light in the exact same way at the same time in the same direction. Will the string eventually break?

Hi everyone,

You might remember my friend Satyam from our IISc Bangalore videos (or the JEE question everyone got wrong one). He’s currently a part Notebook Drive initiative, a group run by IISc students that has been supporting local government schools since 2002.

Every year in mid-June, they distribute various items including notebooks, pens, geometry boxes, and more to thousands of kids in need. Last year, they supported 4,200 children with the ₹5.1 lakh they raised, and they’re looking to scale that impact this year.

I’ve seen their hard work up close and wanted to share their story with you guys. I won’t ask you to donate that’s a personal decision but I’d love for you to at least look at their website and read about what they’re doing. If you find it meaningful, feel free to support them or share this message in your circle.

There are some simple real-world problems, where the smarter you are, the more likely you are to get it wrong.

And, I took 3 such "simple" real-world questions to IIT Delhi to test some of the highest-ranking JEE toppers. The goal was simple: see if years of intense JEE prep actually helps with real-world logic, or if it creates a "intelligence trap" where you overthink the obvious.

The results were... unexpected.

🎥 Video drops TOMORROW. Stay tuned.

⏰ *Hiring: Full-Time Video Editor + Animator**

We're building a new-age science communication channel in India, inspired by channels like Veritasium, Kurzgesagt, VSauce, Mark Rober, Tom Scott but rooted in how Indians think, learn, and fail.

This is **not** a typical editing job.

We’re not looking for someone who just knows Premiere Pro or After Effects.

We’re looking for someone who:

* Is deeply addicted to YouTube
* Understands why some videos get 10M+ views and others don’t
* Obsesses over retention, pacing, and storytelling
* Cares about *ideas*, not just visuals

If you’ve ever watched Veritasium or Kurzgesagt and thought:
👉 *“I could help build something like this for India”*

Then this is for you.

You’ll be working directly with me to:

* Craft high-retention edits
* Design simple but powerful animations
* Build a channel that challenges how people think

📩 To apply:
Send your best work + a short note on **WHY YOU ARE THE BEST FIT** to yasharyabusiness823@gmail.com

Let’s build something that actually matters.

There's a hidden story on the internet which talks about a question from JEE 2008 that almost everyone got wrong, except for only one.

It's been over 2 months since I came across this story and it just stayed with me. I kept wondering why everyone got this one question wrong? It doesn't even look the hardest question, JEE had much more complicated questions than this one? Who was the only person to solve it right? and most importantly how he managed to solve it correctly when everyone else failed.

So, I jumped into this rabbit hole, to actually unravel the truth behind this story and dived deeper than anyone else to understand the problem to its very origin. And the more I learnt the more it kept getting interesting and much more I wanted to make a video to put this story out for everyone.

This has been one of the most ambitious projects of my channel. Financially, mentally, and physically this has been the hardest video to make so far but much more rewarding as well.

The video is now live:

What happens when you give 30 smartest🎓 students across India 1 impossible😶‍🌫️ JEE Math question?

That’s exactly what I set out to answer in tomorrow’s video :)

This video took forever (almost a month to be exact) to make, but I really like how it turned out in the end. The inspiration for the video came from nowhere when I was watching a random reel on JEE simplified Youtube channel and fell in love with a JEE advamced Math question. At first glance, the question looks easy but it really tests your conceptual and fundamental knowledge once you give it a try. And, it has one of the most beautiful answers I have seen in JEE Mathematics so far. I hope you guys enjoy the storytelling I have tried to deliver via this video.

Just raw reactions, confidence… and a shocking ending.
