What I would do when I was fishing for catfish is to use chicken liver. Let it sit out i n the heat, you want it to stink. The catfish are attracted to scent. Another thing that works are peanut butter balls or cheese balls. Take a spawn bag and make little sacks with the filling of your choice. The catfish will come over and take a little nibble and then grab it. I have caught more than I could count and good sized ones too. The larger hook eliminates the small fry and ensures you will have a big one on your hook. Catfish also love earthworms. You will find great success on the line with earthworms.
