GENDERBENT HEATHERS FANCAST!!!

Rules:
Male actors play the female characters, female actors play the male characters.
If you're non-binary you can audition for any character.

How to audition:
1. Choose your character(s)
2. Record you singing the chosen song for your character
3. Upload the video to youtube (you don't have to show your face)
4. Don't forget to tag me in the video
5. Comment on this post when you're done
6. Share the post if possible (it helps a lot)

DISCLAIMER: We will be doing the off-broadway version of Heathers and not West End since that's the one I know the best. But we can change Blue to You're Welcome if the people playing Kurt and Ram aren't comfortable with singing Blue.

NERDY PRUDES MUST DIE FAN CAST!!!

How to audition:
1. Comment which roles you want to audition for.
2. Record a 30-90 second long video of you singing the assigned song.
3. Tag me in the video.
4. Let me know you auditioned in case I can't find it.

DEADLINE: May 7th

There is a chance you get multiple roles depending on how many people audition.

And since there isn't a lot of people familiar with NPMD, I will put alternative audition songs from other shows for those that want to audition but don't have time to learn the songs yet.
(You can of course sing them if you want even if you already know the other songs)


CHARACTERS (Slight spoilers in description):

Peter Spankoffski:
A nerdy student that tries his best to not be noticed, when he suddenly gets noticed by a popular girl.
Song: Cool As I Think I Am
Alternative song: Grow For Me from Little Shop of Horrors

Stephanie Lauter:
A popular girl and the Mayor's daughter, kind of a rebel. She has bad grades and uses Peter to cheat but ends up befriending him.
Song: If I Loved You
Alternative Song: Apex Predator from Mean Girls

Max Jägerman:
The most popular guy at school, star of the football team and the largest bully around. One day he gets killed in an accident with the nerds and comes back from the dead to take revenge and kill all nerdy prudes.
Song: Nerdy Prudes Must Die
Alternative Song: Blue/You're Welcome from Heathers

Grace Chastity:
The extremely religious teacher's pet that only cares for herself, suddenly she gets a crush on Max that she is very ashamed of, in the end she finds out that she possess great powers.

Richie Lipschitz:
Peter's nerdy friend that is sceptical of Peter's friendship with Stephanie, he finally gets noticed as the school mascot after Max dies. He turns out being Max's first victim.
Song: His parts from Literal Monster.
Alternative Song: More Than Survive from Be More Chill

Ruth Flemming:
A nerdy and kinda weird girl in Peter and Richie's friend group, she is very down bad and has few friends. Her biggest dream is being in the center of attention and becoming an actor.
Song: Just For Once
Alternative Song: Kindergarten Boyfriend from Heathers

The Lords in Black:
Five colorful divine beings that get summoned by Peter, Stephanie and Grace to defeat Max, but they want an offering for it.
Song: The Summoning
Alternative Song: The Whole Being Dead Thing from Beetlejuice.


NON-AUDITION CHARACTERS:
What I mean by this are that these characters have no big parts in songs, but still are important and need actors.
So you get to write in the comments of you are interested of the role and if no one comments for the role I will just hand them out based on your voice.
(All of these are double roles)

Mayor Lauter/Jason:
Mayor Lauter is the mayor of Hatchetfield and Stephanie's strict father that wants her to succeed in school for his reputation, he is the one helping them summon the Lords in Black.

Jason is Max's best friend but is still scared of him, he is part of the football team and the one that makes Richie feel included. He is the one that ends up with Grace in the end...

Detective Shapiro/Brenda:
Detective Shapiro is the lead detective on the murders and is the first one to suspect Peter, Stephanie and Grace.

Brenda is one of Stephanie's Cheerleader friends that dislikes Peter.

Officer Bailey/Kyle:
Officer Bailey is Shapiro's aggressive cop assistent that is very strict towards the children.

Kyle is one of Max's friends that enjoys his disappearence, he starts dating Brenda because Max said he couldn't.

Mrs Mullberry/Karen Chastity/Miss Tessburger
Mrs Mullberry is a teacher at Hatchfield High and always sides with Grace.

Karen Chastity is Grace's religious mother that gets worried when she starts crushing on Max.

Miss Tessburger is Mayor Lauter's annoying assistant that dislikes Stephanie and is always up in their family business.


ENSEMBLE:
Everyone in the cast will be some type of ensemble and the specific ensemble roles will be picked later.

NOTE: I am going to take a role(s) for myself based of your auditions, but I dont know which yet.
