I wanted to rep Cincinnati on my 1st nationally distributed CD, Behind the Glory. So I commissioned @damonlamarreed to custom make a shirt with Oscar Robertson on it. I had became a fan of his after hearing his ‘He Heard My Cry’ mixtape w/ @kninemusic, but it wasn’t until rapping at Tha House in Chicago that I realized he painted the cover after seeing his merch table covered in shirts he painted one by one. So I had him paint the Oscar shirt as well as a Jordan shirt cause he’s my favorite player for my Behind the Glory photoshoot. Damon is an amazing artist whose mural work can be seen all throughout Chicago. Grateful for brothers like him.

New mic just came in for SoundArt Technology Lab but I’m thinking about using this in the home studio. I’ve been recording with my Avantone CV-12 since 2015 so it may not be a bad idea. I 1st was introduced to WA-87 by @RefreshCollective when we used it at a few detention centers & it sounded amazing in an open room. Excited to test this out in the booth.

Originally I was gonna sample “Accept the King” from Da’ T.R.U.T.H.’s 1st EP for the intro song on my Winds & .Waves album (can you guess the line?). This project dominated the mp3.com charts & made me a fan when I saw him perform live on The Platinum Tour. He gave me the go ahead to flip it, but I just couldn’t get it to sound right at the time. I think I could pull it off now tho if I tried.

Black Knight (@BRVNDONP) gave me this Beat CD full of bangers after a show we did together in Sacramento along with D-MAUB & QHeem the Redeemed. I inquired about 2 tracks I really liked but they were already claimed. The beats I wanted ended up being what became, “Zone Out” by @KB_HGA ft. Chris Cobbins & “Pressure” by @AndyMineo. I couldn’t imagine 2 better songs made to those tracks.
