All approved recipients will receive a psychiatric service dog, kennel, bed, blanket, collar, leash, a bag of dog food, treats, bones, and toys. All dogs are up to date on all shots. (All items received are free and included on delivery of the dog.)

To the team at Operation K9 Beethoven,
I’m writing this because I wanted to take a second to look back at where I was and where I am now. To be honest, when I was reluctantly medically retired from the Navy as a combat veteran back in October 2023, I hit a very dark spot. Transitioning out under those circumstances wasn't just a career change—it felt like losing my footing entirely.
Then came Gunner.
I want to start by thanking Brian and Arpi. You guys are the heartbeat of this mission. Your tireless work supporting veterans like me doesn't go unnoticed. You aren't just placing dogs. You are quite literally rebuilding lives.
A huge shoutout to Maureen, as well. Thank you for being the steady hand behind the scenes. I know I hit you with a literal multitude of questions as we moved through the process, and your patience in answering every single one of them made a world of difference when things felt uncertain.
And last, but certainly not least, Chris. What you did with Gunner is incredible. You took him from a rescue pup and turned him into a professional, a lifesaver, and my "partner in crime." Your skill as a trainer gave me the partner I needed to start moving forward again.
Since being paired with Gunner, I can navigate the world with a bit more confidence. Whether it’s grounding me when things get just a little too loud or just being there when a negative experience could use a positive redirection only a mans best friend could offer, he’s exactly what I needed. I quite literally spend 24 hours a day with him and couldn’t imagine it any different.
Thank you all for everything you do for the veteran community. You’ve changed my life.
