In 1971 Manarat Schools were first founded in Saudi Arabia by the Shawy Family in the response to the lack of Quality
Educational Facilities at the time.
The schools were founded as a non-profit organization that expanded to become one of the largest and most reputable
groups of schools in the region with branches all over Saudi Arabia. The Manarat Schools were pioneers in introducing
international systems into local Saudi Arabia Schools.
In the hope of benefiting their homeland, they decided to found similar schools in Egypt. Therefore in 1978, Cairo
Manarat Schools were founded and in the late 1980's the 10th of Ramadan Manarat schools were established, now
having a combined students population of approximately 10000 students. In 1986's Manarat Badr was established to
serve villages surrounding Damietta.
These schools are non-profit organization aiming to provide affordable quality education.
