guys I'm sorry I give up on the red queen reading vlog😭 it's 30 mins long, I hate my voice, it's taking forever to edit and I literally have no storage left 😭 anyway here's my review!

Read this is less than 24 hours for a challenge I gave myself and OMG.
My goal was to find the similarities with Powerless while doing a reading vlog and here are the similarities I noticed:

- THE SETTING. Thief fmc steals from a dark haired man who happens to be the prince, then she goes to the castle and she meets the second mmc, the brother of the first mmc. The brothers don't have the same mother, but they have the same father. The first mmc is betrothed to a mean girl with a special hair color who throws knives while the fmc is betrothed to the second mmc.
- Fmc has a seamstress sister who happens to have her sewing fingers broken
- Many references of shadows and flames (like in Reckless)
- The abilities of the Silvers/Elites are quite similar (look for the comparison on Powerless, I found a list that compared Elites and Silvers. It was quite helpful)
- First mmc helps fmc to learn how to dance for her ball with the second mmc
- The rebel group (Scarlet Guard/Resistance) attacking at that same ball
- Everyone (including the king and queen) hiding in an underground
- A funny guard who's name starts with L is assigned to the fmc
‼️DON'T COME FOR ME IF THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG IN THIS LIST‼️

Anyway Red Queen is it's own book and does not deserve to be in the shadow of Powerless. It is the original and it's so much better. By the end of the book, I could see that the series would take a totally different direction than the Powerless series did. And that's great.
I liked that Red Queen was more plot-centered with a romance subplot instead of the other way around.
The plot twists at the end were actually INSANE. I was crying, my jaw on the floor.
Why am I always on the wrong side of the love triangle 😭
Love triangle very well done! I couldn't know who was the real love interest until the end.
I LOVED the world building!
The reason I dont give this 5 stars is that there was a few plot holes that annoyed me. I also read this when I was tired, so I didn't understand some parts and the chemistry between two characters was just not there for me.
Sooo I would REALLY REALLY recommend this book!!!

1. I have rlly good grades (not flexing ok I literally never talk abt my grades w my friends and I always help them study!)

2. My eyes and hazel and my hair is somewhere between blonde and brown (it's golden in the sun)

3. I want to be an actress later but if not I want to be an author and/or book editor!

4. I'm currently writing a book in my native language (first draft nearing 60k words) that I plan on publishing

5. My favorite Disney movie is beauty and the beast

6. I never wear makeup

7. I have three close friends and we all have personalities so different that two of my friends fight often 😔

8. I'm 14 and my birthday is September 3rd

10. I'm kind of a picky eater but it was worse when I was little

11. My fav author is Ann Liang (her books are sooo addictive, read them I BEG U)

12. I've only been out of my country once, and it was on a school trip to New Orleans, Louisiana. It was literally the best week in my entire life! We were 13 students and 3 adults.

13. Ive been on YouTube since November 2023!! (It's been a long time ik)

14. I can play the alto saxophone 🎷!

15. I'm a very indecisive person

16. I have a terrible memory except when it comes to simple details (like what someone was wearing the day before) or when it comes to scripts for theatre plays (I'm always the first to learn the entire thing)

17. I was the lead of my last theatre play!! (A modern version of the French play On ne badine pas avec l'amour, if you're wondering)

18. Ive known fluently English for only 3 years

19. My school has ended almost a week ago and I had literally the WORST class this year. In science (the worst subject tbh 😶), two girls of my class were coloring their own teeth with Sharpies 😖

20. I have a Red Queen reading vlog coming soon, make sure to watch it! (Might not be the best reading vlog you've ever seen, my accent is terrible and I've made trouble pronouncing so many words😭 currently editing it and it's terrible)
