So basically, chocolates, chips, noodles, and snacks in general are way more expensive in USA and many Western countries than in India

For example:

🇮🇳 India:
KitKat = around ₹10-30
Lay's = around ₹5-20

🇺🇸 USA:
KitKat = roughly ₹85-170
Lay's = roughly ₹85-170 for a small bag

Cadbury Dairy Milk (≈100g)

India = $1
USA = $4

USA one is 4x more expensive 💀


Cuz people in these countries generally have a higher average income, they're paying more for these products. That means companies can afford to use BETTER ingredients, more REAL ingredients, LESS cost cutting, and sometimes HEALTHIER recipes too in their countries

BUT in countries like India, companies fight to keep prices ridiculously low due to the lower average income

People want a ₹10 packet, not a ₹100 packet

So what happens?

Companies use cheaper ingredients

They do more cost optimisation and more shortcuts

They try to make the product as cheap as possible while still tasting good 💀

And boom, you'll often see the exact same brand selling a more expensive, higher-quality version in one country and a cheaper version in another

It's not like Maggi in USA is some super healthy food either

It's still unhealthy, It's just SOMEWHAT healthier than the Indian version

This is basically a trash vs garbage situation

One might be slightly better than the other, but both are still processed junk food 🥀

Cuz companies aren't charities, they're going to make whatever sells

If consumers demand cheap products, they'll get cheap products

If consumers are willing to pay more, they'll usually get better ingredients

Every single month there’s some new disaster spawning in my life now 💀

January, stomach pain

And NOW May arrived and my MacBook, the thing I literally use to make videos, started having problems too 😭

Basically yesterday night I was just chilling and watching YouTube, then out of nowhere the display started glitching, lagging (idk how to explain)
