گیارہ مہینے بھوک کاٹ کر
ایک مہینہ
جی بھر کر روٹی کھائیں گے
جب ہم گندم کاٹیں گے
تو سمجھیں گے
ہم نے بھوک فتح کر لی ہے!
کھیت میں ڈھول بجائیں گے
ہم ناچیں گے
ہم گائیں گے
باندھ کے نازک ڈوری سے
اہرام مصر سے بھی اونچے
ہم اپنے خواب اڑائیں گے

کوئی شاطر کوا آئے گا
میری سونے جیسی گیہوں کے
سارے دانے چگ جائے گا
اور جاتا ہوا ظالم پنچھی
کاٹے گا خواب کی ڈوری بھی

اور جب ظلم حد سے بڑھ جاتا ہے تو مٹ جاتا ہے۔ کسان پاکستان کی ریڑھ کی ہڈی ہے جسے توڑنے کی بھر پور کوشش کی جارہی ہے لیکن آپ کو شائید اندازہ نہیں ہے کہ اس کے ٹوٹنے سے ملک کا ہر شعبہ اپاہج ہو گا۔ گندم کا ریٹ نامنظور ۔
