6.3 magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of Miyagi, northeast Japan, today at 8:22 PM local time. Depth: 50 km. No tsunami warning issued.
Same coastline that was destroyed by the 2011 megaquake. Japan has been on an active streak since April, when a M7.4 struck the Sanriku coast. Aftershocks are still being tracked.
