This song started as a challenge to one of my most loyal famary members in the Cloudy Smiles Community, he asked for a song to rap to/beat to challenge him so I took a few hours to lay down some bones on it and sent it to him and as I waited he never got back to me. My decision to place the song where it is on the tape, is based on both a transition in pacing but also a transition in topic matter. It also allows build up into the most anticipated song on the tape "WYA"
Ultimately, the song expresses my feelings of freedom while keeping my face turned towards Gods guidance.

In this song I challenged myself to write about my frustrations with a part of life while trying to remain centered in peace.

My decision to place the song where it is on the tape, is based on the overwhelming nature of the previous “trumps got US” combining with my partner mad about me overthinking. It also allows perfect transition into the rest of the song which have small chops paying homage to dj screw.
Ultimately, the song expresses my feelings of release and self understanding suggesting that it is okay to just be where you are.

Is a Writing exercise I did.

In this exercise I challenged myself to write about how I see the world.
My rules were simple:
- Focus on the Issues within the world that are happening currently
- Use public knowledge of the situations to lay out what is happening
- Allow myself to not worry about a hook (So I can be free to write unstructured)
- Speak about wide and narrow topics from my view point
- Write with a serious tone without the need of comedy as a crutch.
- Curate this as a pallet cleanser to open the next project I'm putting out

I told myself to stay on the most flagrant and alarming issues I can see when I look around and also be able to see whats hitting close to home so I wrote about this:

The chaotic intersection of foreign intervention, specifically bombing Iran, and the precarious reality for youth in the city. The lyrics contrast the pursuit of education and music with the harsh realities of gun violence and the pursuit of money. It highlights a feeling of being trapped by systemic forces where the next generation is caught in the crossfire. Ultimately, the song critiques the "land of the free," suggesting that danger and "shots fired" are constant, whether in Iraq or Texas.
