Spring didn’t arrive quietly this year 🌨️🌨️🌨️

Within hours, a green boreal forest was buried under heavy, wet snow. Only to dissolve into fog and rain the same day. I went out to film right in the middle of it, chasing a landscape that kept changing faster than I could shoot.

This turned into one of the most unpredictable and demanding days I’ve filmed. Wet lenses, shifting light, and a forest that never looked the same twice.

That was the exact challenge on my latest ski-trek across the frozen Finnmark plateau in northern Norway. When the landscape is entirely flat, you have to rely 100% on the subtle play of afternoon light and shadow to create structure.

It forced me to slow down and hunt for fleeting, minimalist compositions born entirely from snow and silence.
