🛑 Important update: My podcast was threatened — here’s what’s really going on

Last May, I received a legal notice from attorneys representing The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (via Intellectual Reserve, Inc.), the first time my show — Mormon News Roundup — has ever been formally threatened over its name. The letter claimed the word “Mormon” is a registered trademark, and that continuing to use it might be misleading or infringe on the Church’s rights.

I haven’t publicly addressed this until now because I wanted to figure out the full legal context and consult counsel. I have retained legal representation — and I’m currently in the process of reviewing our options.
