The edit begins today!! Its a bit of a monster being 57 minutes, so we'll be cutting into the Hour for the first video of 2026.
Kind of went all out with the research and scope here, from The Brooks Slave Ship to AI Surveillance and this video will be disliked by Youtube because I have the guts to talk about "terrorism"
I chose this because if you want to talk seriously about modern AI Surveillance you have to talk about "terrorism" you have to talk about how low the probability of these models are in finding "Real terrorists" (spoilers, its close to 0... ZERO)

BUT this video isnt about America, yeah I touch on surveillance in the west, but its dedicated to Palestinians and my people in Lebanon.

"I believe its been 6 months..."

Video has been recorded, ran into some big audio issues.
I recorded half the video and came back the next day to find out my pc wont register my mic. Kept getting an MME error on both Audacity and Adobe Audition.
Had to reset and reinstall my mic, but then when I recorded the 2nd half... the audio was GILITCHING
So I had to go back and record everything again. There are some blips, but its a lot better.
If I work fast, next month? but this might be a beast lol

For those curious why I haven't posted a video in months, its because life has been crazy and I get paranoid when writing about surveillance. I become hyper aware of strangers taking videos of me and it legit feels like I'm being watched.

The history part is also massive I want to start with the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade with Simone Browne's Dark Matters: On the Surveillance of Blackness (cover some Haitian Revolution) and weave it into settlers implementing surveillance on Indigenous peoples. Then try to trace it up to modern times (9/11,) but once I hit the World Wars and the Cold War the outline goes off the rails! So there has been a lot of reworking of what I want to include and what I want cut.
I should hopefully have a draft by the end of this week, just need to get past this history hurdle.

So as I write, do your part and help the people of Palestine and Lebanon out!
