Hello everyone, Just an update as I have missed a few videos lately. I am off to the garden fair this weekend. My 12th year attending at the Klehm Arboretum in Rockford Illinois. This weekend March 7-8th 2026 we started in seed trainer trays Sweet Pea Flowers: - Queen of the Night, Chiffon Elegance & Jewels of Albion
In regular seed starter trays we also started
Castor Beans: 'Gibsonii'
Gomphrena: 'Carmine & Sequin'
Snapdragons: 'Potomoc Mix'
Nicotiana: 'Lime Green'
Geranium: 'Summer Sky'
Cathedral Bell Vine
Giant Marigolds: Orange & Yellow
Baby Napa Cabbage: 'Little Jade'
Sugar Ann Snap Peas
Celosia: Celway Terracotta, Celway Red, Chief Mix, & Sunday Mix
I also up-potted into 4" containers the curly and flat leaf parsley, cilantro, and the herbal tea ' Zinger Hibiscus'

Today we made fairy lanterns in a workshop at the garden center. Loreen came from Winfield Illinois and met 3 friends for class. It was my pleasure meeting you. I hope you enjoyed the class! Your lanterns were so cute!!

Larkspur 'Singing the Blues, French Alouette, and Kaleidoscope'
Foxglove: Carousel Mix & Faerie Queen'
Hollyhocks: 'Black Watchman & Apricot-Peach Parfait'
Verbascum: 'Shades of Summer'
Calendula: 'Orange Button, Ivory Princess, Alpha Orange, Pacific Beauty Mix, & Orange & Lemon Twist'
Strawflowers: Apricot-Peach, Copper-Red, Raspberry-Rose, & Purple-Red
Penstemon: 'Rocky Mountain Blue'

I will also be seed starting in trays under lights indoors
Cilantro, Curley Parsley, & Flat Leaf Parsley
Snapdragons: Rocket Mix and a Tall Mixed Color packet
Herbal Tea: Zinger Hibiscus
Dusty Miller 'New Look'

I will also be up-potting the geraniums 'Bullseye Cherry' to 4" pots from the seed trays.

So I walked my garden today and I discovered quite a mystery.....one of my Chinese Lilacs is just gone!!!!! Update:1-19-26: I went and checked a few videos where it was caught in the footage. I lost it somewhere between Nov 9th and Dec 9th...Pretty sure maybe it snapped off in one of a few winter storms and blew away...we had 17 inches of snow and storms with gusts at 65 MPH...that has to be the explanation. When I did the winter garden walk-thur...it was gone. Such a bummer
