Rwanda officially launched its bid in December 2024, proposing a $1.2 billion circuit near Kigali, with construction expected to begin around 2027 or 2028 and the first race targeted for 2029.
In the meantime, modder alpharomeo127 has created a Grade 1 Formula 1 track proposal near the planned site, providing a preview of what a high-quality F1 circuit in Rwanda might look like.
