This TRUTH must be heard. This is the very essence of the beginning stages of separating mother and child, disrupting the bond, and causing mass traumatization and dissociation within society. This is NO DIFFERENT than clit mutilation in Africa. I don't care what cherry picked research shows that circumcision is beneficial. It's not. It's barbaric, and there is an ENTIRE beauty market revolved around this practice. Alongside the deep spiritual and psychological wounding that comes with it. Baraka. In my opinion, the most beautiful film to ever exist. It has no dialogue, it has no narrative, it swiftly sweeps through and witnesses all of humanity. The joy. The pain. The creation. The destruction. No words are spoken, but everything is felt and said regardless. If you've not seen the full original film Baraka, I highly recommend it. If you do not have access to Baraka, here is a clever edit someone did that still gives homage to the essence of the full works in a smaller format.
