πŸ‘€ Looks like we're getting Gen 6 Colour Science from Blackmagic!

Not much info out yet, but this has just shown up on the URSA Cine page on the Blackmagic website.

From what I can see so far, it's promising some big imaging improvements, more accurate colour reproduction, better skin tones, and a redesigned processing pipeline using 3D LUTs for film, extended video, and video gamuts.

Will dig into this more and let you know what I find
Anyone else spotted this?

In my recent video comparing the Lumix microphone to the Comica VM40, I mentioned that the VM40 had a noticeably high noise floor. I wanted to follow up on that because the story has a great ending...

Shortly after the video went live, an engineer from Comica reached out to let me know that the noise floor issue was actually a glitch that occurs when recording into certain cameras β€” mine being one of them.

It's not present in the internal recording, and it wasn't a fault with the mic itself.
Even better, they sent me a firmware update that fixes the problem entirely.

I've installed it and tested it, and I can confirm that the issue is completely gone.

So I wanted to set the record straight and give Comica the credit they deserve. It's genuinely rare to see a company actively monitor feedback, reach out directly, and actually fix the problem.

That kind of after-sales support says a lot about them, and it only makes the VM40 an even better recommendation
.
If you own one, definitely look into the firmware update!

Following up on my Unify Drive UP6 review! πŸ‘€

So many of you commented saying you loved the product but it was a bit out of budget, and I completely forgot to mention in the video that Unify Drive also make a cheaper alternative called the UnifyDrive UT2.

It has a few less features but comes in at a much lower price point, and right now it has a massive discount on it so the timing couldn't be better!
