Huge announcement! ⚡️
It’s no secret that aside from short form content, I haven’t been posting much lately. That’s largely in part because in past six months I’ve been hard at work on something very big.
My vision with Mad Electrician was always that it would become the greatest online resource for aspiring electricians looking to start at apprenticeship, and I believe I’ve just take a huge step towards achieving that.
I’m officially launching an online electrician pre-apprenticeship course! The goal with this course is twofold: To help somebody learn the skills and knowledge necessary to make them the best candidate for an electrician apprenticeship program, and then hit the ground running once they get in. As the creator of this course (knowing all of the value that you’ll get from it) I can confidently say that I would have absolutely gone through this course if it was an option for me when I was looking to become an electrician.
This course is completely self paced, and you’ll always have access to it once you get it. Additionally, you’ll have access to any updates and additions that I add to it (and I have lots of future lesson plans that I’d still like to add). At the end of the course, after you pass your final exam, you’ll get an official certificate of completion that will go a long way towards making you stand out from the other competition.
I’ll be creating lots of content talking about this, but I also wanted to get this information out ASAP for anyone who is interested in it right now. There are three free intro lessons that you can watch before you commit to purchasing it that further breaks down the things I cover in this course and why it’s such an incredible resource for anyone looking to break into the electrical trade. A few things that you’ll learn in this course though are things like: Basic electrical theory, electrical circuitry (series, parallel, and combo circuits), how to wire/ makeup different devices, how to navigate the NEC, conduit bending, safe electrical practices, and so much more.
I’m extremely proud of this, and as you can imagine, just like with my YouTube videos, this is jam packed with valuable content and resources, and I believe it’s truly is a great bang for your buck if this is something you’re interested in.
A few things before I wrap this up:
I want to say that I am going to finally start getting back to creating long form content again now that this course is all finished.
Also, while I do believe this course will go a very long way towards helping you get into an electrician apprenticeship program, the free content on my channel will still always serve as a great resource, and I don’t want to pretend that this is the only way to get into the trade. I do still, however, believe that this will go a really long way towards helping.

I have zero brand loyalty when it comes to hand tools.
I just use what I like best regardless of the brand.
Power tools on the other hand, are a different story.
I like having one battery platform, so I’m all in on @MilwaukeeTool.
What about you?
