That, my people, is called a market gap.
Over the weekend, the forex market is closed — but the world is not. News, geopolitical events, economic updates, and big institutional positioning continue behind the scenes. When the market reopens on Monday, price “jumps” to reflect that new information.
📈 Sometimes the gap continues in that direction. 📉 Sometimes it retraces and “fills the gap.”
This Monday’s gap is a reminder of something very important:
👉 The market doesn’t owe you a smooth entry. 👉 Risk management is everything. 👉 Weekend exposure always carries uncertainty.
